    Etosha National Park

Description: In the vast arid space of Northern Namibia lies one of Southern Africa’s best loved wildlife sanctuaries. Etosha National Park offers excellent game viewing in one of Africa’s most accessible venues. Zebra and springbok are scattered across the endless horizon, while the many waterholes attract endangered black rhinoceros, lion, elephant and large numbers of antelope. Etosha, meaning ‘place of dry water’, is encloses a huge, flat calcrete depression (or pan) of about 5 000km². The ‘Pan’ provides a great, parched, silver-white backdrop of shimmering mirages to an area of semi-arid savannah grassland and thorn scrub. The pan itself contains water only after very good rains and sometimes for only a few days each year, but is enough to stimulate the growth of a blue-green algae which lures thousands of flamingos.

Together we have 20 years experience in the tourism industry and thus have deep routed knowledge of Namibia. We have staff members that read, write and speak German. Aabadi Safaris specializes in cultural tours and we offer our guests a unique and rare opportunity to interact with and learn the customs of Namibia's indigenous people and culture, especially if the opportunity avails itself and we are fortunate to arrive at a village where there is a wedding or birthday celebration. Our aim is to give our guests the most enjoyable and memorable experience of our beautiful country. We also engage in assisting film crews and other media with guided itineraries, research as well as obtaining work visas. In addition, we own a Bush Camp, situated 130 km northwest of Windhoek, where we offer walking/bush trials with San trackers. Our guests are given this experience and the opportunity to learn about this ancient San culture. It is an experience not to be missed by any guest wanting to learn and/or witness first-hand edible foods in nature, tracking, traditional fire making, craft making and much more.

We took over ownership & Management of Aabadi Safaris in October 2009 and that of Aabadi Bush Camp, in December 2009. The product is very well received in International Markets and we have established relationships with German Tour Operators and are busy establishing new ones with Chinese Tour Operators. Aabadi Safaris is currently emerging popular in China and thus far 95% of our customers, who undertake tours with us, are from China.

    Gibeon Meteoriets

Description: The 600 million years old 30 Gibeon Meteorites mounted on steel columns in Post Str Mall are extraterrestrial (originating in space). Between 1911 and 1913, Dr. Paul Range, the State Geologists for the Government of German SWA, collected 37 meteor fragments in the Gibeon area. Their weight ranged between 195-506 kg. Two were stolen and four were donated to various institutions for research purposes. Since the installation of the meteorite fountain, another meteorite has disappeared. All pieces are thought to be part of one large ore, with a mass of over 17 tonnes, which fragmented long before it entered the atmosphere. The Meteorites were proclaimed a National Monument on 15 February 1950.
