Located in Namibia’s capital city Windhoek, Rivendell caters for guests who enjoy homely, comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. We are for many, “the last homely house before the wilds”!
Our emphasis is on friendly hospitality and helpfulness, whether it be reserving a table at the best restaurant in town, organising a day trip, finding a rental car, booking a safari or planning a full self-drive itinerary. Families are welcome and a cot with bedding can be provided on request.
Within walking distance of Windhoek city centre, Rivendell is located in a leafy suburb. In addition we offer a comprehensive travel booking office on site and are happy to assist with all your travel arrangements, Africa Tourist Info (ATI).
We offer our guests fully equipped self-catering facilities in a large open-plan kitchen as well as the option of bed & breakfast. We pride ourselves on offering a full cooked English breakfast in addition to fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads, pastries and a cold meat & cheese platter. We have a self-service bar as well as a communal lounge where guests can relax and watch satellite TV, dining room, shaded veranda, well-kept gardens and a large patio area with swimming pool.
Rivendell also has safe, off-road parking behind electronic gates, secure storage for luggage, staff-operated laundry facilities, internet access and a metered guest phone.
Our reception is open from 7am until 10pm and we have a night security guard (as well as two large but very friendly dogs shown on our staff page).
Rivendell has a non-smoking policy. No smoking is permitted in any building.
